Our consultants were part of the advisory council in the USAID’s Nigeria Expanded Trade & Transport (NEXTT) initiative, in collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria and partner Nigerian State governments.
The project involves the development of agribusiness and agro-processing corridors to create many productive jobs in the food system, that impacts directly on the “bottom billion”. Outcomes include improved national food security, high-value/high-demand exportable commodities, empowerment of farmers/fishermen in cooperative societies, facilitation of sustainable food production, processing, transportation, storage, warehousing, as well as retail, as complementary across income-elastic value chains, critical to trade enabling factors that private businesses and partners can profitably invest in.
